hey guys! haven’t posste in a while, been busy with moose hunting and work. i noticed a problem with one of my main rifles, I got a ruger hawkeye standard left hand in a 300 win mag and a rugger hawkeye left hand guide gun in a 375 ruger. Today when i was cleaning my 375 rugger after my hunting trip and my 300 win mag i noticed that the 300 win mag feeds very smoothly while the 375 rugger feeds clunky u got to push harder and not in one smooth push, i don’t know how to fix this as i haven’t don’t much gunsmithing.

On a side note I got lucky and killed a nice bull on the first day.

Congrats on the bull. Do you know if it is binding or any burs? I would see about polishing the rails with flitz or another compound? Contact Ruger and see what they recommend?

Polishing the underneath side of the feed rails with 600 grit wet or dry sandpaper has always worked for me.

If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.
