Does the Sako 85 utilize the same lugette that's found in the Tikka?

No,it is not the same.Quite different,Sako85s have a metal piece bonded to the stock.

Same thing ...tell me there is a major difference between a Tikka T3 , Sako A7 or Sako 85 in the recoil lug area? I have/had all three. There is a groove in the bottom of the reciever next to the front mounting screw where the lug fits .

Sorry,when the OP asked if it was the "same" I thought he meant the same.In other words,they are not interchangeable.
I never had any problems with either, although they are not heavy recoilers,308Win and 6.5SE.

DOn't like thast setup either but they seem to shoot well. I much prefer the recoil lug on my 75

Oldelkhunter is incorrect. The 85 has a small square lug that protrudes from the receiver and mates into a metal plate screwed into the stock. This is totally different than the Tikka slot. They both work but the Sako system is steel mated to steel. Tikka recessed slot sits on an aluminum block mortised into the stock.
