How would you draw your state boundries if you could change the makeup of your state. Here in WA St I would make King, Pierce, Snohomish, Thurston and Kitsap into a seperate state of their own. Vantage would be our new state capital as it is about 1/2 way in the center of the state and has some nice Columbia river frontage. The legislature would meet every two years and term limits on politicians would be the law of the land. The licence fee to be a lawyer or a lobbiest would be 1 million dollars non-refundable application fee to run for public office, or to be a non-profit a million dollar cash bond. This ought to set the environmental lobby back a ways.

In Kansas i would dump KCK, Topeka, and well most of the eastern third let them be thier own little state of confusion.

Well like every other state with a coast, start at the ocean and go in 50 miles, and there you go. Why do the liberals always have to take the coasts?

Would be nice if it were that simple, but the government teet has managed to get suckled in most every local of the state.

Hence there are way to many suckers to gerrymander the state.

No crap? Alaska? I had always thought of Alaska as 'the last best place', and I'm from Idaho! Alaska was my backup plan if/when the freaking left-coast transplants made life here unbearable.

We've got everything under the rainbow up here. Unfortunately modern conveniences have made the state tennable for liberal crybabies. That and a huge state budget over the years has allowed government freebies to infiltrate every bush community, and hence garner plenty of votes.

Between the bedwetters in the city, and the folks with a hand out in the bush, we aren't too terribly different than the lower 48.

Dunno about states but here in the province of Alberta in the last federal election Conservatives won every seat. We are also the only state or province in North America that has no deficit or debt. Our bills are paid in full, money in the bank.

I have a better idea. Win Powerball, buy the newspapers and at least one TV station, start firing, then start hiring. Sponsor Press Turkey Shoots. Et cetera.

Since he and his buddies have come into our quiet corner of the world our property taxes have gone up 400% there is even a move afoot to make our county a gun free zone....over my dead body. We are a rural county on three sides boardered by the state capital that den of liberal theifs.

Would take a lot of cutting. Easy enough to lop off all of NYC and Long Island in one fell swoop. Then draw big circles around Albany, Syracuse, Ithaca, Binghamton, Rochester and Buffalo. Keep all the rest and you would have one fine place to live.

No redrawing of physical boundaries necessary here in North Dakota. The boundaries are internal and mental to the point of being schizophrenic, especially the illogical patterns of thinking of our collective schizoid political voting mind. We�re schizoid because we have an overwhelmingly conservative House of Representatives and Senate on the state level, and a Conservative holds the governor�s office. But our lone congressman and both senators are liberal to ultra liberal of the Ted Kennedy variety. The schizophrenia shows up in national elections where the state votes conservative in huge numbers. What�s frustrating for me, a Native North Dakotan exiled to California for purposes of job and adventure and then repatriated after retirement at age 48, is the total lack of media reporting on the voting records of our leftist troika in Washington. I believe if the voters in this state knew how this leftist cabal actually voted, they would boot them out of office in a second. As it is, the voters, including my wife, think they are great without being able to give a single account of how our delegation voted on any issue, except the rah-rah issues that bring home the pork. Then there is the issue of corruption. I met the senator up for reelection this cycle, shook his hand and told him my name. He almost dropped the drink he was holding. I don�t know if he was clumsy that day, or if he recognized my name from the numerous letters to the editor that I�ve written since moving home in 1997. I�ll allow myself the schizoid thought that he recognized my name and that it shook him. Since moving back to my home range I�ve concluded that you can fool most of the people all of the time, and those the you can�t fool, won�t make a difference on election day. Sad, but true.

You could make a separate state out of the eastern parts of WA, OR, and northern CA. The attitutudes and politics of these regions are the opposite of the urban areas in these states. - - The whole country is infected by the liberal mindset cause of a whole generation of Baby Boomers being brainwashed and the growth of government and peoples dependence on it. The 30s (New Deal) and 60s (real start of the 'feminization' of the country) were terrible for America.

That's a fact, Roger. The newspapers are simply bankrupt in their coverage of how the Troika votes on national issues. It's kissy-face all the way...

I think that this will help us all understand:


The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: Liberals and Conservatives.



Once beer was discovered it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can was invented yet, so while our early human ancestors were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.


Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as "the Conservative movement."


Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement. Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as 'girlie men.'


Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy and group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.


Over the years conservative came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French foods are standard liberal fare.


Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't "fair" to make the pitcher also bat.


Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.


Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America.


They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get MORE for nothing.
