The ACC has suspended ALL the officials of the Miami - Duke football game. http://espn.go.com/college-football...-replay-officials-wild-miami-duke-finishGood for them. I don't have a rooting interest for either team, didn't watch the game, but when I saw the replay it was obvious that there were several blown calls. The block in the back on the Duke side of the field that did get flagged was marginal enough I can see how they might pick up the flag, but the earlier one on the Miami side was flagrant, and the runner was clearly down. How they missed them on the field is a mystery, how they missed them on replay is inexplicable.

When you get a spread like that going on all over the field, it's impossible for the officials to see every thing that happens.
The replay officials cannot enforce un-called infractions and can only rule on what's being appealed.
Certainly some missed stuff, but like our coach always said, "If you would have tackled the sonofabitch, it wouldn't have come down to this."

When looking @ instant replay how does a group miss the knee touching? Also, a block in the back penalty is NOT reviewable, yet the officials on the field did not get together to review/ waive it off. The Umpire did that right after taking the headset off. For someone without a dog in the fight[me] it sure did seem like one ginormous clusterf*ck afterwards.

Agree. I'm not sure how the replay official missed the knee touching when it was pretty clear by the replay that he was down. Duke was hosed and there's no remedy.

1. Never tell everything that you know.
