Here is the bull I took in the Flat Tops while hunting with Anaconda last week.......he was by far not the biggest I saw.....but I am very pleased with him.

Ya, it was the Colorado Flat Tops wilderness.
The raghorn by tent is mine. We tagged out, each getting a bull & cow. Then we went lower and DS got a small mulie. Five out of six tags filled, it was a great hunt.
Weather was a bit cold, several feet of snow and tempratures as low as -16%

Well Mike, we took my horses 8 miles in, stayed 10 days , and met with the worst weather I have ever hunted in. It got to 16 below a couple of nights and I have never been so cold. The elk were migrating through to the lower country and were spotty at best.....but we managed to stay in a few elk each day.

The day Dan killed his bull, I pushed a canyon that held a bunch of small groups of 5-10, and one big group of around 50 with two giant bulls. They all split and ran up different draws, and he managed to be in one that had elk going through and took a nice 4x4 and a cow.

We hunted hard and stayed with it, though the urge to get tagged and get down to a warmer place was very strong. The hunt was a very memorable one and we learned a ton of good info on the migration routes of the bulls from the Tops when winter hits. I expect we will be dragging some bigger bulls down in the next few seasons.

Dan is an awsome guys to hunt with and it all turned out to be a super great experience.

Nice animals and pictures. Sounds like one awesome hunt. I just wish AK would get some snow sometime this year.

Did you go in from the east or west side? I always went in from Sweetwater or Burns, never hunted the Buford or Trappers lake side
