It has the green "bicycle grip" handle. I bought it used a good while back. Any ideas? Even have the original box.

At least as old as mine then. Purchased in the '78-80 time frame.

Mine has the green grip too but was used when I got it. Think Dan nailed it late 70s.

Take a look at the top of the press where the die screws in. They used to stamp the last two digits of the year of manufacture there. I have one here that I bought in 1971 and sure enough it has 71 stamped on it.

I bought an RCBS Jr. press in the mid 1960's; it also had the bicycle handle. Unfortunately, I gave it away - I'd like to use it now as a dedicated primer decapper.

That green "Bicycle Handle" was made out of some damned good material, wasn't it. LHS of the pic below, bought at a Gunshow at the old Stampede Convention Center in Calgary, circa mid- late '70s.

The RCBS press I got new in the 60's is not marked on top with a number. It says A2 & Oroville Calif on the front and RCBS on the back. The Lyman Eze Loader I got in 1953 is still in service.

The RCBS press I got new in the 60's is not marked on top with a number. That's interesting 'bwanabe'.. My RC has the SAME 'black ball' handle end and it was bought +/- 94 The other pics in this thread of 'older' RCs have the GREEN bicycle grips. Jerry

I don't think a 60's RC had the pull handle left/right option. Just sayin.....
Wrong finish too..............................

Sorry Sav, the A2/2A was different color, no left/right handle option, no ball on the handle.
That looks like a RC III, circa the 90's.
Stop the fibbing ...........

You guys are right!
I looked for an A2 pic on the net and I used that one.
I should have at least found a pic with a grey press!
My newer RC 1V is green.

And you couldn't tell it was different than the one you've been using all these years?

My RCBS Jr. has "74" stamped on the top near where the dies screw in, and yes I bought it in 1974.
Before that I used my late Dad's RCBS A2 press that was grey instead of green. Don't have any idea how old it was, but I remember Dad telling me he drove down to Orville Ca. to pick it up.
