Thinking about springing for one of these. Please post pics if you have one so that I can make comparisons between the AAA and A grades please. Would also look at pictures of Super Americas with great wood. Thanks in advance!!

A blondish stock, but here's one worth considering:

Not the best picture as it doesn't do it justice and the other side is prettier as well. (257 Roberts)

This one is also a .257 Bob. It shoots pretty well, and I may carry it later this year.

How do you boys have the heart to actually hunt with these beauties? I would be walking on eggshells carrying something that pretty around...

Also interested in pics of some Super America stocks, as the cheekpiece always does it for me.

Just managed to put together dies and brass. So likely won't get hunted this year. It's normally cold and dry here during whitetail season so this will get hunted, though I'll be a little less inclined to walk through the real thick stuff with this one.

So you carry something ugly to avoid being nervous?

Flyer could hunt that rifle hard for 20 years, and it would still look classy.

If you're going to spend $1400, why not find a used (or even new) Super America for a bit more? The Super America is a far nicer stock to use.

That's why I wanted to see some Super America pics. Wondering if the wood is as nice as the AAA stuff.

Mine's been used some in Texas by the previous owner and took a few deer. I've carried it a few days on a cow elk hunt last year when I knew I more than likely wouldn't be climbing or descending anything nasty.

Took it back to Texas this past spring and took a pig.

I have to admit I'm careful, but I'm careful regardless no matter what is in my hands.

This is the wife's SuperAmerica. It is an older one that I bought about 10 or 11 years ago.

No offense intended, however, in the olden days a SuperAmerica meant shaping and finish sanding like this. The shadowline was definitive of the the craft. Nowadays, from Costa Rica, not so much. They ought give the guys another hour or two to work'em up... If nicely done walnut is of interest, aren't there folks in the USA doing it?
