Wonders never cease. They're Rems, but still a good sign. I've been picking them up at irregular intervals over the past few years at various spots, but none at Wal-Mart.

was in the local super wally world yesterday, and as always, no .22 LR. I have not seen any there since Feb 1st, 2012, the day they opened.

Last week Academy here had quite a selection. I bought twenty boxes of Fed HP's for $2.09/box.

recently, I have been in two different Bass Pro shops, three different Gander Mountain, two LGS. Not a box of .22 LR in any of them. I guess they don't ship that stuff to Florida

I've found some CCI Mini Mags at walmart a couple of times. Limited to 3 boxes, but not a big deal. A customer gave me a bulk box of Federal Auto Match a month ago as a thank you for holding a stripped lower for him while he's going through a court case.

I have a buddy that work's for Federal Premium and he said they produced 1.4 billion .22's last year. That is three shifts producing. Part of the problem is after 30 years there and so many like him is he makes $37.00 an hour. That is just sitting at a machine watch it spit ammo out. Think about that.

I found some Winchester .22LRa at Wal-Mart about 6 weeks ago. There was a limit so I bought two of the 333 packs. Sadly, it all went fast and I have not found it back again.

I was offered some yesterday at a gunstore I'd never been in before. It's in a town not far from me, but that I don't frequent. I guess it has been there about a year. Dude acted about half retarded, but he was stocked to the gills with 22's. He wanted $50 for a brick. I don't know which ones he was talking about 'cause he had most common 22's. Blazers, probably. I passed. I've got plenty.

I've bought Frog Togg's for my kids. IMO they do a good job but are not robust. They are overpriced.

I got the original Frog Togg suite from about 8 years ago in camo color, they work great, I just got this jacket for when I get caught in the boat with rain, I like them, not real heavy, it's normally hot down here

Frog toggs won't last all that long but if you can get em 15-20 bucks, they'll last a few years or more, and are cheap enough. Don't rip quite as easy as the cheap thin PVC stuff.
Way more waterproof than dirty goretex crap.
Walmart has had 22s off and on here in town ever since the shortage.
I'm betting the ones that never do, have folks that always have and always will check every day.....

I had time to kill this past Saturday while a machine shop threaded a barrel for me, so I stopped in the local Cabelas to brouse around and while I was killin' time, they stocked the .22lr. shelf. First time I've seen any on a shelve in years, so I picked up two 550 packs.

I still find them often enough. Though they are more expensive this year.
Last year I don't think I ever paid more than $25 per 500, or $.05 per round. Lately its been about $30 per 500.
