Got some SD cards off the cameras last weekend. Saw this guy a few times on the photos.

Nice mature old buck. Looks like his neck is swelled up but a real nice solid deer. Tom

Where in God's creation do you live that that's a "decent" buck? That's the buck of several lifetimes in these parts!

Decent = pretty darn good.

We have seen larger bucks on the cameras and out of season in the past.

From what I see he is on the downhill slide as far as antler growth. He is as good as he is ever going to be. Tom.

Kind of what I was thinking, that this is the year to take him if we get a crack at him. We saw what might have been a bigger buck in the same area last year, maybe it was him and his rack has regressed a bit

That one will tell you where he's at. He's the cockothe walk. I'd bet he's beating every tree up in the area and has scrapes like the hood of a '55 chevy. Be a good candidate to rattle in. Either way show us the money pics when you smoke him.

Very nice and certainly a 5.5 plus older whitetail right there. A true warrior that has seen many things in his life for sure.

Rut is certainly on right now. A friend sent me a photo this morning of a young buck mounting his buck decoy that he snapped with his cell phone from the tree stand!
