I'm hoping someone can help me. I have come into possession of a mint Old Redfield 4x56 ultimate illuminator scope with a 30mm tube and the original box sleeve and styrofoam inside.
What are these worth? I can't find one anywhere so I have no idea if it's worth. Anyone? Thanks
I owned one of the very first ones made. I thought it would be the answer to all of my low light problems. I then learned that the eye can only handle about 7mm of light. The equation for the 4x56 would be over 14...so at least 7-8mm is wasted. I can't remember what I paid for it but it's probably not worth much, maybe a $100. powdr
As a "user", the Redfield 4x56 was ridiculous useless you're impressed buy it's size. Just like their 27mm tube, it made no sense at all. How ever if someones collects classic Redfield scopes, I'm sure they would love one in that condition.
