I like the tongue hanging out.
What kind of rifle is that?

There is a dead coyote right above Nash's knee, on the ridge... Felled with a single '4895 fueled V-Max.

Well yes and no. They are quills, but it is a fisher.

I got another one today.

My son and I set out for a quick coyote hunt last night. We set up in a big field over looking several what I call patch woods. I started out a little different this time. I took my Elk coyote power howler with me on this trip. I started out with a few quick barks followed with a long howl and waited. The night air lit up with what sounded like about 10 coyotes answering me with barks howls, laughs and other sounds that would make your hair stand on end! I then let out another howl with the power howler and I guess it was to much for them coyotes to put up with because within about 10 seconds after I howled 2 big coyotes showed up about 70 yards from us and they was looking hard at my red light I had shinning in there face. My son settled the cross hairs on the chest of this big male and thump! That Sierra 55 grain hit him like a hammer! With my sons weight and plus the coyotes weight minus my sons weight on the bathroom scales it weighed 43 lbs...

We were actually looking for a deer for me but kind of got sidetracked.... grin

He hit the shoulder blade, so he's got some serious stitching to do. I have to work up a milder load for fur. I'd hate to shoot a cat with that and blow him all to pieces, and it stinks blowing up nice coyotes too.

Yes, .22-250..

Have you tried Matchkings? they work well for me pushed around 3800 out of my swift. about nickel to quarter sized exits. although I havent shot a cat with it yet. Worked pretty good on last weeks Nebraskan whitetailed critter as well...
