One of my party chiefs sent me a text this weekend that had me reading between the lines a little. I'm pretty sure he is trying to say he wants me to place him on the crappiest out of the way surveys, with briars, and snakes, and poison ivy, or measuring the bottoms of sanitary sewer manholes. I think you're right. The guys who inventory trees for the lumber companies around here know where all the deer are.

I never send my boss pictures of what I shoot. He usually finds out, but it ain't coming from me. Seriously.
The survey boss would not have minded though, but those years are behind me.

I'd rather have the new data collector, given the choice... At least you are reasonably sure the data collector will work. Not so much with the rookie... I never trusted anything new... seems like everytime we went new we had to go re survey the first days stuff either to verify or because something wasn't right in the collector when they downloaded....
