Good afternoon,
I just got a new to me 99c chambered in 308 (19t lbc) and the action seems very stiff, I understand that when closing the bolt there is a stiff spot but it's very stiff to open (eject), I have yet to fire the rifle. It's so stiff that when shouldered and running the action it just about and sometimes does pull the rifle away from my shoulder. Is this normal? Can it be fixed?
Any help would be much-needed.

Had that trouble with this one. Was binding on the side of the lever.

Well I finally had a chance to disassemble the 99c today, I cleaned the entire rifle, when it came down to the stiff action I didn't see the lever "cam" was rubbing on the tang safety but I did notice that there were some spots on the "cam" that had wear marks, one was were it pushed the bolt up, another was at the end of the "cam" were it was at it final resting place against a small ramp in the receiver and finally the "cam" runs along a grove on the trigger. I polished all spots with 400 then 1000 sand paper including the grove on the trigger, backed all spots up with a small tab of grease.

Talk about "like butter"

Just wanted to let the group know.

Thks
