I have run into a problem while sizing some brass lately. It is happening on a couple of calibers and I cannot figure out what the problem is. The expander ball is hanging up on the way out, some really tough. Most of the cases are on their 4-5th loading. Amy I sizing the necks too much. Would the brass be work hardened enough to cause this. If anyone has ever run across this or has any advice it would be appreciated.

Are you lubing the inside of the necks before sizing?
If so are you using a spray can lube and if so is it mixed up really well?
Is the inside of the dies and the ball clean? You can freshen up the ball with some scotch brite.
Are you running a brush thru the mouth before lubing and sizing?
Have your necks thickened up so they need turned down?
Just some thoughts.

Yes, Imperial dry lube.

I will try this dry neck lube first and see if that fixes the problem. Then I have some other suggestions to go from there. I appreciate the advice

Before sizing case's, I spray with Hornady one shot on the body and in the neck. Then a shot in the sizing die to get the expander. Never have a problem. I tried dry lube and it didn't work at all for me.

I use One Shot also and like it.
BUT, if you don't get a really good mix of the can contents, things like the OP started this post with will happen.
I now start shaking then can really good several times during the half hour before I start actually using it.

Shake your can very well and see if the problem hasn't gone away.
Let the One Shot dry well on the inside neck and on the body before sizing.
