I can remember the period bewteen the time I was between 11 and 14. I had a goal of killing 1,000 birds a year with my Daisy pump. That was 3 a day more or less. Didn't use the sights, shot by point. If I missed a day I had to double up. I'd go out before school and after school. Had my "honey holes" where If I need to double up, I could do so. IIRC, I exceeded my goal every year. Had plywood boards in the garage where I kept the wings from the different birds I shot.

During my tender years I sometimes got a little introspective at the moment one could see life pass out of a critter. Now I hardly ever kill something unless I plan to eat it.

I tell folks I suffer from SDD, (Shooting deficit disorder). I used to think it was just not being afield. Now I know that's not the case. Shooting at the range and trigger time helps, but ain't nothing like the shedding of blood. Hence my avatar

Most of the ones I shoot are between 50 and 150 lbs. I prefer sows but young boars are fine table fare. I either grill the loins, smoke the hinds or slow cood for stew or pulled pork in the crock-pot.

I also mix with venison for sausage and have both smoked links, summer sausage and breakfast sausage as well as straight ground pork.

I like mixing pan sausage with ground venison for hamburger patties.

Glad to see the knives are working for a living.

Looks like a pretty nice pouch sheath you made also.

Also some interesting cooking info to work on.

Thanks
Tim
