OP luv2safari Campfire Ranger Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 28,172 Here Or There	I needed a couple of fresh birds to get Rosie birdy and all excited, so I sent my grandson down the big ditch for a couple. Rosie loved the birds, got very excited and tried her first retrieve...well...Abscond is more like it. I planted the dead birds later in some thick weeds, and she found them like an Irishman finds free whiskey. I'll train her on a check rope the way we trained our griffons back 60 years ago, not with an e-collar. She's going to be a handful, but she has great instincts and is strong and agile already at 8 weeks. She's almost too smart.
