He is stating in no uncertain terms that if a background check is done, and that gun is sold across state lines to a kid, then ATF has the registry to trace that gun back to who bought it.
But, but... I thought the background checks were only used for a single purchase, and no gun info was kept, and the records were disposed of?
Kinda contradicts what they have been telling us the past several years, doesn't it?
BTW, there has been "gun registration" on firearms sold by dealers ever since the 4473 was put into use. Anyone that thinks differently needs to get off the crack.

The tracing he's talking about is the 4473's, not the background check. FYI.

Im kinda confused about what he keeps saying about criminals buying guns illegally right now online. Is he talking budsgunshop or craigslist? Are regular folks going to be allowed to put guns on craigslist anymore? Technically they arent being sold online, they are just being advertised online....
Oh, and as a side note, his new rules will also make buying a gun "a little" more expensive....
Isn't that racist, since the poor are disproportionately minorities, i.e., his measures will have a disparate impact on minorities, particularly blacks. He's proposing, in other words, a violation of Title VII of The Civil Rights Act of 1964. I can definitely see penumbras, formed by emanations, from those guarantees, relevant to what he's proposing.

The lion and tiger might be stronger, but the wolf does not perform in the circus.

Its amazing someone hasn't sued the jurisdiction's where licensing/permitting is relatively expensive on this basis. I am pretty sure if we charged $100 for a voter registration card someone would be all over it.
The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny. Under this Republic the rewards of industry belong to those who earn them. Coolidge
