That is a good opinion to have Joe. Chevys keep all the parts stores in business. Try not to let your dad buy anymore Chevys.

What does the sign on the door of "Old Yellow" say?
I couldn't make it out.

I've had both Ferds and Chevvies, and the Ferds seem to hold up better and have less problems. Driving an Explorer, or as T-Zone would say, an Exploder, right now.

Shhhh. I have electrical gremlins in my Chevy right now. if you say that too loud, you'll wake them.

Seriously, I got pimped out of a day of deer hunting because my truck wouldn't start at camp. It wouldn't chime, click, turn over, dome light, nothing. Dead. Deader than a door nail. With a month old $180 battery. Tried to jump it. Nothing. Took my rifle and went for a walk. Came back at dark and tried to jump it again. It started like nothing ever happened and it's been that way ever since. So keep it down. You wake them and I'll come find you. wink

I'm picturing the Will Ferrell skit where he's wearing the American flag thong and the sleeveless USA half shirt.

Lol!

CFT, I had the same problem with my 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. Sometimes it just would not do anything. I have heard this attributed to the security system among other things. That is the reason I traded it for a new 2012 Ford Escape in late 2011. I have a friend who had a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 with the same problem. He replaced it with a Toyota Tundra. I was a General Motors fan for sixty something years. No more.

I gotta say, those '60s and '70s Ford trucks are classy lookin for sure! I had a uncle that had a '77 250 highboy with a 400m V8, and another uncle that had a '79 150 with a 351. Nice trucks, both were workin farm trucks and lasted well into the 1990's.

I hit a deer with my chevy 3/4 ton last night going 60 mph. the end of my bumper was pushed back an inch and one of my headlights was loose. the worse part is I saw when I got homw, the headlight wasn't only loose, but it wouldn't light up anymore. now I have to go and get a new light and bend my bumper out. I should switch to a ford, they are tougher right?

the deer felt no pain at all near as I can tell. I could care less about what it did to my truck, Chevys are tough. I feel bad for the poor mulie doe. frown
