Not exactly a traditional woods gun Mike While the one rifle pictured is in a tactical configuration I believe they are also offering different, more traditional configurations. I was told they'll offer it chambered in .460 S&W for states like Ohio and Indiana that limit cartridge options for deer hunting.

Looks like a kick azz rifle. I would love to have one of their new Model 37s.

Just what the world needs, another "Tacti-Cool". Geez, I wish this trend would end. I thumb through old '60s - '80s catalogs and wish for the good old days...

Ithaca has, since tooling up for the model 37, brought a proposed new O/U, the Phoenix, that ended up nowhere. Then a remake of the single barrel trap, Knickerbocker, which also died on the vine. I wonder how much the new precision rifle is outsourced versus truly made in house. However, I wish them luck on the venture.

The Guardian is Ithaca Precision’s short action platform.
The Protector is Ithaca Precision’s long action platform.
The Savior is Ithaca Precision’s .338 Lapua. It is exclusively tactical, and not a hunting rifle. Aside from chambering, I wonder what the difference is (other than marketing) that would make the Savior an exclusively tactical rifle compared to the other two? I would hunt with a 338 Lapua.....

Not my cup of tea,,,,but I encourage all gun manufacturers to bring whatever it takes to market to keep them strong.
For info, the TSA was only marketed by Ithaca,,,,,made in Europe.

Not something I am interested in either but it looks like we are the minority. The Ruger Precision rifle has been the best selling new rifle on Gunbroker for some time now.

Probably a bolt knob so huge it scares off game.

The 28 ga Model 37 is the only gun Ithaca makes that i would like to have
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

As usual, when a firearm manufacture comes out with a new gun the "glass half empty" people show up.
Good for Ithaca, looks like a fun rifle to shoot and may give Ruger some competition.
