So I am torn. I am debating a 6920 or looking at a bolt 223. I know they are apples an oranges and the intended purpose is also called into play. I'd like to have a longer range rifle that has very good accuracy with predator hunting or p-dog shooting in mind. The colt offers the reliability I am looking for in an AR, but does it have the relative accuracy?

In my opinion, prairie dogs and predators call for two different rifles. I call coyotes and don't need but 1.5 MOA accuracy. Prairie dogs are a long range affair or I get bored so more accuracy is required.
The 6920 is a great utility carbine and will kill coyotes just fine but is at best a 1.5 MOA gun. You need both.
And yes I have had some coyotes hang up way out there but 99% of my shots are under 200 yards.

Good info. This is as much a need/want and don't think momma is gonna loosen the purse strings for both.

Get the Colt. Buy a "match" upper later for P dog work.
