I bought a Conquest 3-9 X 40 last year and I'd buy another if I needed one. In fact, I don't need one but I'm thinking about buying one anyway.

Do some of you guys actually own the Minox 1.2 to 6?
It's on sale at a lot of places for a little over $300 and I've looked at it and thought about it.
Tell us more if you own one!

The problem I've got is i own a couple Minox and did not have very good luck with them and I wasn't very happy with their service. I'm kind of getting the feeling the way some of these big outfits are closing them out they may not be restocking and I wonder how long minox is going to be around.
I sure can't argue their glass is pretty nice.

I Euro optic the only place to buy one? Any other vendors? I am thinking of buying 2, and since I am in PA, that would be 36 bucks in tax, I kinda prefer out of state. No big deal but 36 bucks makes for a nice lunch.

I've had good luck with the ZA5 HD line. The earlier ones had some minor teething pains, but my experience for service was excellent. I've had issues with Leupolds, too. I don't think they're going anywhere, since they're releasing more models at shot, as we speak. They're definitely getting in the same league as Meopta and Zeiss. I love my 1.2-6 HD. Great 30mm tubed package. I liked my 2-10x50i, also....I just sold the gun that fit it well. I'd love to have the 2-10x40.

Re the Minox scopes I see that buds gun shop is no longer stocking em and I wonder if euro optics is going to anymore after they close em out. Maybe they're clearing out for an entire new 2016 lineup?
Today I received one of the $299 3-9 conquests from Euro optics for a buddy. They have a tiny euro optic imprint on the side of the input lens that's not offending at all.
The lift and set turret is exactly like my Meopta from cameraland.... the Meopta and zeiss may be extremely alike after all like others are reporting. By the time you pay the $21 shipping charge you might want to look at cameralands 3.5-10 Meopta for just a couple bucks more w/free ship.
It's a cloudy day here with snow on the ground and I was just looking through it as it's getting dusky... it's pulling a ton of light in and does not disappoint in any way!

I'm curious of something regarding these EuroOptics Conquests for $299. Since Zeiss has closed them out and quit making them, do they still honor the warranty, or how does that work? Thanks.

Zeiss has totally warrantied an old conquest for me. It had many many rough miles, many miles in super cubs etc....

No longer had the parts. They sent me a new upgraded IE next level scope of just a bit more X on it at no charge...

Fwiw...you can track the inventory of the $299 Conquest at Euro optics. Just put a really high number of them in your cart, the website will respond with how many they have left.
the story I heard is that they had well over 1000 of them at one time and I believe it. A couple weeks before a Christmas they had over 700 in stock right now they have 227 on hand so if you're thinking of one you should think harder lol!
By the way they also sell them on ebay I think for $349 or $359 with free shipping.
For that you definitely want to look at Doug's cameraland Meopta!

I was hunting in Starr county about 40 miles from the Rio Grande 2 weeks ago using my old 3x9 Leupold. Right at last light I could not make out horns on 3 deer. I really was wishing that I had kept my Zeiss 3x9. $300 IS A BARGAIN.

Is the Zeiss a 1" or 30mm? Seems like mine was a 30mm, Maybe 8-10 years ago. This new one is a 1" Any difference in performance for those that have more experience than this old hunter.

I thought the Conquest was made for American hunters and has always had a 1" tube.

The only Conquest to have a 30mm tube was the 3-12x56. All others are 1".

All - an update on the EuroOptic Conquest 3-9X40:

Mine was delivered today, and it's fine.
But I didn't realize what some people already knew - that EuroOptic decided to paste their logo on the scope. Which I don't like.
I made a quick check, and while I didn't see any mention of it, there IS a pic of it on their website with their logo. I should have looked harder before I bought it.

Anyway, it's not the end of the world but I thought it was only fair to post something about it so that people know in advance, if they choose to buy one.

I just had to go look at mine....its there too, BUT since it's identical to the 'Conquest' label on the other side of the eyepiece, I hadn't noticed it, and it's certainly not an issue with anything, other than saying 'Euro-optic'.
