1956 Model 70 FWT in 30-06, not a collector but very nice condition. Stock has been refinished and updated with a new pachmayer pad and action has been bedded to float the barrel. Shoots great, carries great, looks great. Some light wear on both sides muzzle, from a case or similar. Picture below highlights it. Talley's included, but scope is not.
$850 shipped in a plano plastic box, wrapped inside a cardboard outer. Postal MO preferred.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Wanted: Vintage Remington or Winchester hats, patches, shirts. PM me if you have something.
That sure is a beautiful rifle. Receiver looks to have been professionally polished and re-blued. Has the bolt been changed? The 1956 model should have a hole drilled in the bolt ovoid/knob.. Damn fine hunting rifle right there...

That was my thought too. Good price for a nicely refinished one though
Thanks fellow M70 connessieures! I enjoy a non-collector as I feel good about shaping the bolt to take Talley Xlows and hunting hard and/or restocking/rebarreling someday. Probably to a 30-06 Improved (270!)
