In 1989 I bought a Remington 7600 carbine in 30-06 It had a high gloss finish with the same bdl stock as a model Six. I sold it a year later and now regret it . I have searched high and low and cannot find one that fits this description other than the model Six . It was not a model Six but a 7600 . I have pictures and plain as day 7600 on the side . What I'm I missing ? Is there more to this?. I have been searching for several years ,It had the Monte Carlo Cheek piece as well

Sounds like a standard 7600 high gloss carbine

It might be worth your while to look on ebay for just the stock and fore arm. They do come up there and often at pretty good prices. Buying a plastic stocked 7600 is pretty easy.
I have a left over wood stock and fore arm that was on one of the 7600s that I've had over the years.
The earlier 760s were better guns FWIW.

It sounds like a cool rifle. You could always get a 7600 carbine and find a Six stock set.
