I am going to break down and buy a concentricity gauge. Looking for recommendations as to brand. Ideally, one that would cover 30 '06 to 50 BMG and be simple in terms of set up and use.
Thank you.
If you can't be a good example, may you at least serve as a dreadful warning

I've been using Sinclair gauges for years, but the one from 21st Century Reloading looks quite interesting.

Don't overlook the Hornady gauge. Very easy to adjust and very accurate. Been using mine for over a year and honestly cannot find anything I do not like about it.

The sinclair gauge is the standard and works very well. The one from 21st Century that mathman posted looks very well made also, I haven't used one though.
A friend has a Hornady gauge and he likes my Sinclair a lot better, so do I.

I had a Hornady.
Now I have an RCBS, I like it much better.

I've used several over the years, but the one I use most is the RCBS, because it also measures neck thickness. It isn't as smooth as some others, and some others measure neck thickness a tiny bit more accurately, but for general handloading it's the one I use most.

Sinclairs hands down in my opinion is the best. Straight forward to use, well built, and accurate.

I've had a NECO unit for a long time and it is versatile and easy to use.

I have a Sinclair and an RCBS. I tend to go to the Sinclair as it is smoother & more repeatable. The RCBS is cheaper, will handle more varied tasks and will get the job done.

I've owned the Hornady and the RCBS. I liked the Hornady well enough, but wanted the ability to measure neck thickness. Upgraded to the RCBS and sold the Hornady to a gentleman here on the 'fire.
I believe the RCBS gives a bit more accurate readings than the Hornady and the extra features make it worthwhile. There are likely better tools, but perhaps not a better value for your dollar than the RCBS.

No issues with mine for many years. Might be better gauges on the market but the Sinclair is perfect for my needs.

Ive used a sinclair for years and recently tried the hornady concentricity guage. I like both but realized using them side by side that they measure differently. The sinclair measures based from the side of the case, and the hornady from the center line of the cartridge. I found some cartidges measured with the sinclair could show up to .006" of runout, then the same cartridge measured on the hornady could show as little as .0005". Not sure which type of "runout/misalignment" is more important. Anyone else have experiences with this difference in measurements?

The problem with the Hornady is it doesn't use the case body as the C/L reference point but rather the rim....
I couldn't care less how concentric my bullet is in relation to the rim
I made my own but in essence is a Sinclair knock off

I have the Sinclair and love it. I use it a lot more than many of my reloading implements.
