I think Trump was raised in a "Richie Rich" type environment, and probably hasn't had to be polite to anyone except maybe his parents since he was a teenager or young adult.
He's obviously a narcissist with a huge ego and thin skin ; he can dish it out but doesn't take it very well.
I don't think he was at all afraid of Megyn Kelley, and skipped the last debate for a couple of reasons:

1) He just wanted to see if he could get the Fox ratings to drop so they would lose advertising revenue to use as leverage later on when he deals with them (that's how he thinks....$$$$).
2) He didn't think he had much to gain from showing up at that debate, and knew they would attack the front runner.
With him gone, Cruz became the front runner and they threw the flack towards him, and the points made about him changing his stance on amnesty, coupled with his poor attempts at humor which did not turn out well made him look bad.

I think he knew exactly what he was doing, and it doesn't appear to have hurt him at this point.
Plus Cruz has dropped in the Iowa polls at the last minute with no time to regroup.

Who knows how the Iowa caucus stuff will go with their history of surprise wins there, but it will be interesting to see.

Just my take on it.

Last night Megyn gave that Democrat spokesperson (who looks like his embalmer did a poor job) a near total pass on lie after lie defending Hillary.
She let him get in everyone of his lying talking points twice and thanked him for being there (to lie, apparently).

It was awful.

Yea,
She would probably be better off over at CNN, or one of the other networks, but Fox seems to be heading to the dark side more and more......

If you recall, Reagan skipped the last IA debate also..

Obviously, he couldn't possible be taken seriously as a candidate for office..

anyone spouting Fox talking points to defend Fox News over Trump isn't paying attention.

set Trump aside for a minute

This is Fox News - the conservative network dedicated to supporting conservatives of America - the "fair and balanced" network

and their moderators attempted to eviscerate the Republican front runners for President during the debate. Not ask them tough questions but tear them down just a few days before voters go to the polls to vote in the first primary.

Did you see Fox News do anything to promote the republican party as the party to lead this nation over Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders?

Instead of worrying about whether a Billionaire who has got more pussy in life than a gynocologist is worried about a woman who wouldn't have a job without her tits - you should be worried about the network that claims to represent you is doing all it can to put a democrat in office

Does this sound like a network supporting conservatives?
---------------------------------------------------------
With no Donald Trump on stage to draw her fire, Fox News host Megyn Kelly took aim at the next two highest-ranking candidates during Thursday’s free-wheeling Republican debate, leveling Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio with a series of devastating video clips that turned their own words on immigration against them.

“Senator Rubio, we’ll start with you,” Kelly said, pointing out that the freshman lawmaker had vowed to oppose legalization and citizenship for illegal immigrants when he ran for Senate in 2010, playing footage of his promises at the time. “Within two years of getting elected you were co-sponsoring legislation to create a path to citizenship, in your words, amnesty. Haven’t you already proven that you cannot be trusted on this issue?” Rubio’s eyes widened. “I do not support amnesty,” he stumbled, as Kelly cut him off, repeating what he had, in fact said. Rubio pivoted to talking about ISIS, but Kelly wasn’t ready to let him off the hook. “Governor Bush, do you agree Senator Rubio has not reversed himself on his immigration promise?” she asked, allowing Jeb Bush to continue the argument for her as the two sparred over who was the bigger squish on immigration.

Ted Cuz was next to receive the video-montage treatment. “Senator Cruz, when Senator Rubio proposed that bill creating a path to citizenship, you proposed an amendment [that] would have allowed for legalization but not citizenship,” Kelly began, noting that he had since claimed to have been against legalization all along. “You argued that this was just a poison pill amendment,” she continued. “But that is not, however, how it sounded at the time. Watch.” In clip after clip, millions of Fox News viewers watched as grainy video captured the senator’s apparent betrayal. Cruz hit back at Kelly’s portrayal of his position, but the damage was done. For a candidate who’s staked his reputation on a hard-core commitment to his conservative base, the mask of sincerity had slipped. Kelly turned to Rand Paul to finish him off, asking the Kentucky senator if he bought Cruz’s response. “It’s a falseness,” he replied. “And that’s an authenticity problem.”

If she was less good looking, she would probably have a back office job.

The questions asked by the "moderators" are scripted and asked in a specific order, this according the Biear today on FOX.

anyone that thinks Fox is a 'conservative network' just does not watch their programming. They are as liberal as ABC or CNN. They do have hotter chicks though.

FOX has always claimed to be Independent, not Conservative. "Fair and Balanced."

I thought everyone knew that...
