The most miles I ever got out of a set of tires were Cooper Discoverers. Took 'em off after 80K and then sold em for 125 bucks. They still had 15 or 20K left in them.

I tried Michelins on a 3/4t Dodge and will never buy them again. They are the only tires I've gone back to the dealer and had them removed. Within the first 700 miles I'd had two flats due to sidewall issues. They replaced them at "no cost" but charged me to do the swap for disposal etc. I checked the date code on them and they were already a couple years old. I asked for newer tires on the second set to include the two that hadn't blown, and the spare. I had a third sidewall let go on the new set.

I put BFG A/T's on and sold it before they were wore out. I've since used many different tires but never a Michelin again. I've been using Coopers on everything except a set of Goodyear KM2 on a hunting rig. The Coopers are pretty quiet and aggresive enough for winter driving. The KM tires are very good when off road and have good sidewalls.

Think I'm going to look hard at the BF Goodrich AT KO2's.
The Toyo's look good too.
The Michelin's aren't what I want, considering, some of the travel is on dirt, that could be muddy, and some driving in the winter.
My Dodge dually is my daily driver, and the Ford, just for road trips, and hauling the camper.

Coopers do last better than BFG. Goodyear MTR's were the worst wearing I've tried.

Tires NOT to buy, General Grabber STX from Wal-Mart. They wear nice and evenly, but they wear really fast, like 30,000 miles of fair wear and tear.

The most used tires ( because they wear the best and are tough ) on the Dalton highway in Alaska AKA "the haul road" are Toyos .
I have 5 vehicles with Toyos.

Let's revisit this.
I'm looking at Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's.
Anyone have these on anything, or an opinion ?
50,000 mile tread life.

I am in the tire industry and deal with a lot of tire dealers and the Goodyear Duratracs have a great reputation.. I have a 2016 Tacoma TRD that came with GYears with Kevlar in the sidewall and really like them (first oe tires that didnt replace in the first 200 miles) I am seriously looking at putting a set of Duratracs on it before hunting season as they will be a good compromise tire .. between and all terrain and mud tire. I was having a discussion with a large tire dealer the other day and I asked what his most sold mud grip was ... Firestone Destination MT... we have a set on our farm Tacoma and they are awesome.. great road manners and excellent in the mud.

I love the looks of the BFG KO and KM tires... but my brother had a set of KM2's on his duramax that the tread seperated and did over $3k worth of damage to his truck... BFG paid to fix it tho... alot of problems with the KM2's,

I have the Duratrac and the Toyo AT2. The Duratrac will easily hit the 50k mark. I don't have that many miles on the Toyo but they are wearing just as well,IMO. The Toyo is not near as loud.

Nothing to add in regards to tires, but another vote to ditch the K&N. They don't play well with Turbos

What kind of air filter you running ?
Cabelas has a pretty decent 5th wheel tailgate for 169 bucks.
Used a 20 off coupon and was 166 and change delivered.

These are the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires I'm looking at. Studable too.

I had really good service from a couple sets of Toyo Open Country tires in the past. My last tire purchase was a set of US-made Hankook all-terrain tires for my Chevy 3500. They were rated highly by Consumer Reports, Car and Driver, and a couple off-road magazines.
Although the strengths/weaknesses were different, CU rated them equal overall to Michelins. And the entire staff of the big tire shop had them on their pickups and tow trucks. I'll know more about them in a couple years.

You can buy a little gizmo that allows you to retune your electronic spedo to match the tires.

That would be Rickson, and they have about a 6 month backlog and don't answer their phones. If you need to go the 19.5 route you would be better of buying the Vision Heavy haulers and 19.5 tires than going with Rickson. 19.5's are NOT good off road tires but since I have a heavy slide in camper I needed them.
