I'm from Illinois and itching to use the long gun on a booner whitetail.
Farming makes it hard to travel to hunt in the middle of fall, so I'm looking for a place that offers a late rifle season, North, West, or Western Midwest would be awesome. Wondering if anyone has any awesome places they would recommend?

So that's pretty much into December.
Some possible options are Iowa, Kansas, or later ML seasons in, say, Nebraska and Iowa.
Saskatchewan's season runs into early December this year. And in hunting SK, that last week is oftentimes the best time. (most guys insist in hunting the rut - I don't agree with that when hunting over feed)
For what you're seeking, SK would be at the top of my list.

SK sounds fun., I've heard a lot of good stories and big deer from up there. Are tags hard to get or anything special need to be done for hunting in Canada?

Tags are over the counter. The only special needs are a passport, firearm declaration and a pudgy wallet.

Or... Jordan, you should join me and my bro up in PA for a rifle buck/bear combo. I think early/mid December is the time. Can't guarantee a booner, but there are some spots to stretch that new 257's legs a bit. Hell, bring Garen and Wayne and we'll have a grand ol time

Tim you definitely have my undivided attention! Lol
Is that late Colorado season for white tail and Muleys both? Cause that'd be pretty cool. Seen some awesome mule deer when I was there on vacation this winter

I'd go to Manitoba or Alberta. Scary top end bucks in both places.
No Saskatchewan for me.

Missouri no longer allows the sale of a non-resident license to an Illinois resident

KS rifle hunts are generally the first week of December. Ask Scott and Bob how those hunts work out! Draw tag but draw isn't until late April and it is basically 100% draw. CO plains can be a great hunt as well. You can get a whitetail only tag easily. Hard to get a Muley tag though.

Lee Ebby: Kansas is the nuts! Great top end and I like the rifle season is early December, after my other seasons have closed. Cant wait till next year!

Any specific places in Kansas to look into? Or just search some different places and find one that looks good? Big whitetail in Canada would be an absolute blast, but what's the costs of that compared to a Kansas or Colorado hunt realisticly?

Albeta can be expensive. Manitoba quite a bit less money.
Guys I spoke with in Kansas who hunted guided said $3500-4000 or so but I bet it varies quite a bit,and can get more expensive .Of course you can hunt unguided in KS if you find a place to hunt.
Have not checked lately but bet the Eastern Colorado hunts are on par with Alberta.
As to timing, you can hunt rifle during the rut in Alberta and Manitoba, Saskatchewan as well. KS is post rut and Colorado has early and late rifle season that come before and after the rut.
Nevertheless I think Colorado and KS are top bets in the lower 48.
Fact of the matter is you could kill the buck of a lifetime in any of these places.

It all depends on the unit as far as what it takes to get a late whitetail tag in eastern colorado. Also when going with an outfitter, a landowner tag is also an option.

Yes but the going rate for a buck voucher is outrageous!
