I have a 455 and would like to get the trigger lightened, I see kits out there with reduced poundage springs but was wondering if anyone had tried the kits first and then found the Timney trigger to be better.

Not sure about the 455, but I have a Timney in a 452. It required some work to get it right, the sear was high and caused the bolt to bump/drag more than it should. I have heard good results with the Yo Dave kits however. Much cheaper as well.

Gave up on the hardware springs.$100 for Timmney trigger is pure pain but makes it a rifle. Disappointing from CZ. Their center fire stuff is great. Bolt falls out ocaissionally. May have it set too light. 455. accurate though.

As much as I like this place, Rimfire Central is the hot spot for .22 info, especially on CZs.

Installation of the Timney on my CZ was way more trouble than it was worth - on my Vanguard it was a breeze - would never self install on a cz again.

I put a "Yo Dave" kit in the trigger of my CZ 22 rifle. It was simple to do and produced an amazing improvement. Best of all it was cheap.

The only negative is Dave was very slow about shipping. Almost to the point of me thinking I had been ripped off. But in three or four weeks I had it in hand.

It was worth the wait.

The "Yo Dave" turned my 452 into a crisp 3 lb pull with zero creep, using the factory spring.
