I know every rifle is different and I know I am starting with 300 weatherby data but was looking for a little more help and some different powders to try. Starting with H and IMR 4831 and 150 and 165 grain bullets. Any help appreciated. Jere'

H1000 and Retumbo would be good choices powder wise.

What is the case capacity of your fired brass. IMR7828 is also a good large case powder

IMR 7828 should work well, I've used it with exellent results in my .375 Ultra Magnum.

I would start by getting H20 case capacity and compare data to similar calibers like the 300 Wby. Quick Load might help once you have those figures. I'd look at H-1000, Retumbo and IMR 7977, and RE 26. With any of those it will be a very capable round. I might also consider a 9 twist depending on what you want to do with it.
I think that 150 and 165 grain bullets are a waste of the case capacity.
