It's a 1954 gun, worth 500-600 based on local demand.

Beautiful rifle. Looks just like my elk hunting partners '49 30-30, but a lot nicer. I'd say it's worth $650+ around here.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Awesome rifle. I'd be PM'ing you if I had room for it. Thanks for the pics.
My first deer rifle was a Model 94 30-30 with the awful cross bolt safety. I love it for the memories but I've always wanted a pre-64.

Wow, you inherited a beauty! Since it didn't cost you anything, and someone thought enough of you to leave it to you, why not keep it? You won't know what you're missing if you can't look past it not being scoped.

It is a beauty. My first deer rifle was basically the same thing. It has taken many critters over the years(since 1978). Still have it. Going to go to one of my sons at some point. In fact, just picked up another one. Neat rifles. Keep it.....

That is a gooder. Sold one not quite as nice for 580. Four years ago.
