I'll up the ante with a white leisure suit and a pair of platform shoes.

That's funny... I was looking at a 1963 Fox BST a few weeks ago in about the same condition. Nice grab.

Much better than disco!
PS - I think I know a guy who knows a guy who knows another guy that has a ball of original Savage string. Want me to track him down?

Bump-Bump-Bump. Thanks Steve. Glad it's not a 20 gauge, I'd be tempted to hunt it. Don't think this one has ever seen the light of day, so to speak.

My first shotgun was a Fox Model BSE in the same configuration 12ga. 28" M&F. Pretty nice shotgun if you could overlook the awful phillips head screw at the rear of the vent rib. When I became an adult I scratched the itch and bought both LC Smith Field Grade and Parker VHE 20 bores with 26" IC & M chokes.

My father recently sold it's twin sans the hangtag. I'm surprised so many remain in like new condition. They were, after all, a working man's gun.

I'll make sure he doesn't try to slip in a ball of Moss berg string like he did the last time. You know the funny thing about it is that Moss berg has managed to do something that Winchester couldn't; stay in business l.
