Talking to my grandmother. She shares a birthday with the signing of the TX Decleration of Indepence. This year she will be 95. I reminded her that she is more than 1/2 as old as Texas. She found it funny.
My great ucnle, went to the 100 year celebration at the San Jacinto monument and had his travel paid for by the state. First time he left the county he was born in, same county my great xhowever many grandfather represented when he signed the Decleration.
