That's a good article....never seen it before.... CZ makes a great rifle and the M1 is one of the best things they ever did.....I don't know why they didn't catch on any better since the extended magazine is one of the things people bitch about.... Get a wood stock if you can find one....

Yea.....I think they only offered it in a wood stock for a short period....a shame but plastic's popular these days.... Give Whittakers a call....they might have a wood stocked M1 stashed away somewhere....
I had the magazine shortened on a wood stocked Fire Ball about ten years ago....it didn't take long to become my favorite walking varminter....
Luck

James Calhoon does a lot of 527 work and has some interesting accessories, like a single shot adapter. Good guy to deal with. Check out his website. http://www.jamescalhoon.com/DF

Flush mount magazine, what a concept. I think the Argentine Mauser switched to flush mount in 1909. CZ's catching up fast!

I wonder if the trigger guard and magazine will fit the original 527s?

He did mine....it took a little while for the modified spring to relax so the third round would load and feed smoothly but it's functioned flawlessly for a decade....mine's the shorter 222/221 mag FWIW...
