I really prefer the nylon ones.A lot quieter., flexible

Cannot remember the outfit I ordered from but you can buy the rod and ends then build it how you want. Maybe Track of the Wolf???

If I bought a rifle with an aluminum rammer, the first thing I would do would be to throw it away. Bending, allowing dirt to embed in it and scouring the bore, and the aforementioned noise are just a few reasons.
Actually, I never understood the penchant for metal rods of any sort. If one were hell-bent on using something other than good old hickory, at least go with delrin or something. I've been shooting muzzleloaders since the early 70's, always with hickory rammers, and never- repeat- never have I broken one. A properly seasoned and constructed/shaped hickory rammer can be bent into a bow, and spring back straight. Try doing that with an aluminum or brass rammer. Sometimes what we think of as progress is really a step backwards.

My Knight came with an Easton alu-minny-um rod with an extension built in. Very light and okay to reload in the field, but I use a steel range rod at the range, fitted with a bore guide.
What fresh Hell is this?

Here's the best place I've found for ramrods, no matter the material. Standard or custom sizes.....they can help you out. BTW, their speed loaders are the only ones I've found to be truly waterproof. Andy#3 http://www.rmcoxyoke.com/ramrods_and_accessories1

I'm surprised there aren't a lot of carbon ramrods on the market. Carbon arrows and cleaning rods work well and are durable as can be.
