Made in 1956, 4", no box, Coke bottle grips, $3000 and dang is it pretty!

Same shop has a Model 24-3, a 4" Mountain Gun 657-6 and a 4" 625-5.

Oh, to be rich...

According to Supica and Nahas in the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson "Coke Bottle" grips were made "around the 1950s & early 1960s".

Not positive but didn't Cokes originate with the .44 Magnum (pre-29). Don't think I have seen Cokes on any other guns other than .44 and .41 Magnums... All the other N-frames had diamond walnut. Think they were phased out around 1966/67...

The pros like Doc44 over on the S&W forums would have a more accurate answer...
