Have you compared the Sig to the Kimber? I thought the Sig had a much nicer trigger when I handled them at a local shop.

I'm pretty sure the kimber micro carry has a bad rep on the internet. Google it.

Sig works perfectly. I've had Kimber 1911s before, and sold both for reliability issues. I know others personally who've had the same problems with their Kimber 1911s and sold them. No way I'd trust a Kimber .380 auto.

Too many safeties, too many external hammers. That too. While my little Sig is reliable, I no longer consider that style of handgun the best for concealed carry. Give me a striker fired handgun every time.

I almost bought a G42. That would be my choice if I had to have a pocket .380. Ended up with a G43 after I bought my wife one.

Isn't the Sig referenced a single action with side safety? I never could get over feeling unsafe with a cocked and locked single action pocket pistol with only a side safety.

Yes it's a cock and lock type pistol. Keep in mind the safety doesn't disengage easily and it has about an 8lb trigger. I would feel more comfortable with it in my pocket than a stricker fire without a safety.

Also, are you referring to pocket carry without a holster?

I haven't shot one, but the Kimber is by far the best looking aesthetically speaking. The one I saw was done up like a Raptor and it was a very good looking pistol. Even the plain one was better looking than the Sig. Comparatively speaking I found both to have very similar triggers. But I couldn't tell you how well the Kimber works. It's a solid design, so if it's made right it ought to work.

FWIW, The one I looked at was NIB $599. After SeaRunRainbows post I thought,, damn I was a little quick to judge. It's slim quality feel is what attracted me from the get go. Less is more in something I'd actually carry ALOT.

LCP, cheap, reliable, cheap, durable, cheap, functional, cheap, small, cheap, no manual safeties, cheap...
I'll spend money on a nice handgun, but my LCP has been 100% reliable and surprisingly easy to hit with. For a gun that lives in the pocket and may only see 100 rounds a year at the range, I hate to spend Kimber money when Ruger money gets the job done with less fuss.
