Richard,

Are you up at the 'Goon yet ?

If not, you may not be sledding, by the time you get here !

Weather this week is going to knock da Schitte outta it !

Hoping it holds a little longer yet, Deb & I are heading to Minnesota, snow boarding on Thursday, for a long weekend @ Giants Ridge, on the Iron Range. 'bout 4-5 hour drive from here.

Last night was a quick bolognese sauce, a green salad and crusty bread. Quick, simple and delicious.

Tonight, teriyaki chicken thighs, steamed rice, steamed asparagus and sweet snap peas.

Pulled pork, crusty multigrain baguettes & coleslaw(sans dressing - for the crunch factor, as well as cutting the sweet fattiness).

Glass of Chardonnay, with dinner, then a Crown Northern Harvest Rye (+ a couple of splashes of water) while watching a movie with my "honey".

Life is good !

Style - Medium & Spicy ›

Medium amber colour; aromas of baking spice, vanilla, cooked apple/pear and rye bread, with notes of pepper, caramel and apricot; delicately sweet, creamy and rounded, flavours of sweet spice, pepper, vanilla, butterscotch, toasted nut and caramel with notes of oak, marmalade, anise and toffee on a warm, elegant finish.

This is an old family pioneer recipe. Cam across the plains from the east to the west with my family.

Try it, you might like it.

Add some crumbled bacon... Yummy

My mother used to make that cept she used chopped up boiled eggs....

I still make it every now and then for a change of pace but her's was better....or maybe I was younger and hungrier....

Darn good looking spread, Sean!

I do something VERY similar.

The plan was some grilled Specked Belly goose breast sliced thin and served on a crostini with a little tart cherry glaze and on some others with an orange fig glaze.

Reality was me picking up and dropping the countertop ceramic olive oil container onto the granite countertop, and my full beer glass which shattered, covered the kitchen floor, duck breasts and countertop in 6 cups of oil, one Ballist Point Stout and 2 kinds of broken glass.

I've ordered a pizza. cry

Bummer Pugs! Chit happens, that's why Dominos delivers!

I sautéed up a couple handfuls of spinach with garlic, S&P, and mixed it with some cream cheese, Parmesan, and shredded Montery Jack.

Stuffed a couple big and juicy breasts with the mix and rolled 'em in bread crumbs before browning in a skillet and finishing in the oven.

''Twas great!

Family dinner at the club. Eight hams with pineapple, brown sugar, and cloves. Eighty pounds of meat loaf. Chicken and dumplings, from four chickens. Mashed red potatoes(50#s) and gravy. 120 drop biscuits. A sweet corn red pepper veggie. Peach/apricot cobbler with ice cream. Been there since 8:15, got home at 10:45.

I'm beat.

Cocktail and campfire, then off to bed.
