Here's the latest carving my Dad has finished. This one is neck and neck with his Gyrfalcon for my favorite. I'm working on a Smoothy Ruddy Duck drake with his guidance, but my skills fall far below his at this point.

Yeah, I would post I pick of the pointy stick I did if it had only turned out better.

That is skill and art rolled into one. That thing is beautiful.

Very cool! For a guy with next to zero artistic talent, I can't really fathom how that's even possible.

Outstanding piece of work! Thanks for posting it. I do some wood carving myself and would love to see more of his work.

Very nice, Mark. I'd like to see the gyrfalcon and the ruddy duck if you have pictures handy.
As others have said, I'm in awe of such talent. My artistic skills are so poor that I actually got a "D" for one 6 week period of high school art class. Heck, I have to trace something round to make a proper bull's-eye.
Great work!

Very nice!!! I think owls are the toughest birds to carve. Coming from you sir, that is a huge compliment. This bird took 16 weeks of working on it every day. It's amazing, much better than the picture shows. I'll take pics of some of his work, and one of mine. Mark
