I've been reloading 30-30 for a while now for my Marlin, and suddenly I find that not all the reloads will fit in the Marlin but do fit in the Savage. I'm pretty sure that I kept the 12 rounds I fired in the Savage separate, that is to say they were tumbled, resized and primed separately. They were 6 rounds of 150 grain and 6 rounds of 125 grain with nominal loads of 4064. Fired about 20 rounds thru the Marlin the same day, processed the round separately, and they do not all fit in the chamber. Using RCBS dies with a Lee factory crimp die. What other info do you need to help me diagnose this anomaly?

How do you have the resizing die adjusted in the press? Sounds like it's not doing a full length resize.

Yes, it sounds like you may have set your die differently for each set of brass.
It is not necessarily a problem for the Savage chamber to be a bit bigger than the Marlin. Just keep checking your fired brass for signs of excessive stretch, and load separately for each rifle.
Remember the difference between a go and no-go gauge is only one thickness of scotch tape.
