Well, the magnet came in and me and my little booger-butt took it down to the creek at a major civil war crossing. I think we did pretty good for our first time and now she is hooked.

Well, I've found Civil War stuff at this location not far from where we found the horseshoes. So I imagine the stuff dates back to at least the year the mill was built which would have been pre-war.

Looked like mule shoes to me. Finding 3, I would expect another one and the nails might have been part of whatever it was pulling. miles
