Very interesting post, because my experience with KG-12 was just about the opposite as yours. It didn't work well at all for me. Maybe I didn't leave it in long enough. When you use it, do you get blue patches? I never had any indication whatsoever on the patches that copper was being removed, no blue color or anything else, that is. But I know copper was present because a follow up with 50 BMG, CR-10 or Wipeout resulted in patches with considerable blue color on them.

With KG-12 it is difficult to know when all the copper is gone based on color. I think this is becuase it reacts differently with copper than your standard ammonia based copper removers such as 50BMG, CR-10, sweets, etc. That is why I use 50BMG just to "check" for copper based on the color of the patch after I am finished with the KG-12.
As far as it not working for you, I am thinking that maybe it wasn't in the bore long enough to work completely. I try to leave it in for at least an hour or two.

I think its too good to be true. Its just foam that turns blue after you leave the room. That way you will buy more, thinking its the greatest think sense sliced bread. big grin. stuff works great. I do like the idea of using a copper soluevant to check how good it is working.

What, no odor? What good is it if it cannot double as an after-shave like Hoppes #9? I keep a bottle in my medicine cabinet and my workshop.
God, grant me the senility to forget the guns I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to know the difference.

I tried it the first time this past weekend on a old Rem 788 22-250 (rough) and a Savage 116 30-06. Used it with the new accelerator and it did not seem to do anything. But I guess it did because Sweets did not produce any blue patches. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
Must work but I did not see anything happen! This weekend, I will try it again.
