I want to hunt for the rest of my life. I want my kids to hunt all their lives, and my grandchildren. So I want wildlife to not only survive, but thrive. Protecting habitat is the most important thing for wildlife. If some years we have to reduce our kill, so be it. If that's the price for wildlife to thrive, I'll pay it.
What have you anti-hunters done to ensure that wildlife has a place to live?
It takes a village to raise an idiot.

The public land I hunt most often is right on the Shenandoah River, and occasionally school buses full of kids show up to piddle around in the river. Once I came out of the woods after turkey hunting and from the looks on their faces you'd think Usama bin Laden had showed up. I made a point to tell the teacher with them that the land was paid for by money from licenses and P-R taxes.
Lots of people hike and walk their dogs there, courtesy of the blood-soaked killers that pay the rent.
What fresh Hell is this?

Yep,
"So I want wildlife to not only survive, but thrive. Protecting habitat is the most important thing for wildlife."
and this
"I made a point to tell the teacher with them that the land was paid for by money from licenses and P-R taxes. Lots of people hike and walk their dogs there, courtesy of the blood-soaked killers that pay the rent."
are exactly what is so often missed because of this
"The greenies, sure don't let facts, get in their way of bashing hunting."
The really troubling part is that the "other side" have insulated themselves to the point that it almost doesn't matter what the truth is...if 2+2=5 better suits their tender sensibilities than so be it.
If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.
