Thanks for the good wishes, Don. Hope you had a good one!

Actually, am not strictly a Leupold lover. Also have the following brands on my rifles: Bausch & Lomb, Bushnell, Burris, Leica, Nikon, Sightron, Swarovski, Weaver Grand Slam and Zeiss. Oh, and even one Simmons, the 4.5-14x V-Tac that's now sold under Weaver. (It was a very good scope, but nobody would pay almost $500 for a Simmons!) Also use some antique scopes, including Lyman and Weaver. Shot my last whitetail with a 2x Noske from the 1940's, mounted on a Savage 99 in .300.

Have tried a couple S&B's but didn't seen any real advantage over various other fine scopes. Don't have anything against them, but am always suspicious when something is promoted as The Answer. Have tried a lot of stuff over the years and have yet to find any scope brand that is perfect in every way.

I used a Bushnell Banner scope for a number of years on a Marlin 336 (35 rem) without fail.

I used 3 different Blurry Leupolds for some years "thinking" they were a good scope. I admit, I was wrong, they weren't.

I now use Swarovski & Schmidt & Bender scopes because they provide me with a level of performance far and above any Leupold I have ever owned or used. BTW, a buddy of mine owns 18 Leupolds and I have used his rifles with those scopes. Just mentioned that in case you may of thought my experiences with those blurry leupolds was limited to 3 scopes.

We each pick what we want to use for "our" purposes. I choose to use S&B and Swarovski which are superior to any Leupold I have ever looked through while hunting.

Have a good one,

Don
