I hear they're good for Cape buffalo too.
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

As a family and hunting club we have killed a F'ing schit pile of deer with the 95 NBT. Nothing fancy, just shooting em in the front half unless a CNS shot is automatic. It's a zerging azz bullet.

At 3150fps very impressive kills on big bucks and hogs, pleasantly amazed. Punches way out of it's weight class.

This was posted up here in 2010, with a note that the tip melted while sanding and filled in the normal airspace around the base of the tip.... I just bought 1000 Blems after reading dozens of threads extolling the virtues of the 95NBT. It's supposed to be a goody, like the 7mm 120, the 308 168...

How fast are yall running them? I am getting excellent accuracy at 2900fps from a 22" Tikka. Havent tried working much past that, didn't know what velocity to expect from a 22" tube.

I reckon I won't be trading my stash of 100 gr. Hornady interlocks {flat base} for any 95 BT's.
Im a big fan of the Hornady Interlock flat base too...its my fave. But they quit making them...( I have a little stash too )

My go to bullet in the 243 is the Swift 90 gr Scirocco with IMR 4064. I have never recovered one and never had a deer go more than 10 yards.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

The 95 Ballistic Tip has an unreal track record for me with larger NY whitetails and black bear. As expected it's also done really well with the smaller whitetails in Virginia.
We've recovered a couple of them but usually only after breaking a lot of bone. I love Partitions and Accubonds but a 95 BT started anywhere from 2900-3100 has been dynamite.
They might lose the core but it seems like it is usually close by the jacket in most cases.
I put it in the same league as the 115 .257, 120 .284 and the 180 .308's for its ability to penetrate, expand and dump animals very hard.

Many here recommended this bullet, so I took their word for it and have been happy with it thus far. I shot two Axis deer last year with it, both shoulder shots, no exit on either, and no bullet recovered. This year I shot a bedded blackbuck with one ( the bullet on the left) as he lay quartering towards me...through the neck and on into the off shoulder. The other bullet-of which there is only a shed core- was from an Axis buck I shot, quartering away, behind the right shoulder aiming to break the left shoulder. Bullet traversed well and ended up through the left scapula...core was shed en route.... No complaints. Particularly good it seems for the " I want it to expend all its energy inside the animal" crowd.... FWIW the two Axis last year went 20 yards and 20 feet respectively. This years Blackbuck went nowhere, and this years Axis went about 75 yards.... Looks about perfecto to me.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

Shot a lot of 95gr BT's back about 15 years ago out of a Howa, but only at paper. Always switched to the 95gr Partitions for deer season (and those worked beautifully).
I found that the POI for both bullets were the same in that rifle for identical loads, made it really nice for the range and shooting.
Finally broke down and used a 30 cal 150gr BT this last November, worked beautifully at 80 yards on a nice freezer 4x4 whitetail. Did exit.
