Picked up a couple of 99's this weekend ,,,First was labeled a 1895 But i pretty sure its a 1899 C in 303 savage barrel marked patent 1893 half octagon barrel has a crack on underside of receiver area receiver graying patina serial number 12xxx range
Second i picked up is a a 99 t in a 30-30 ....How common are these ...and collectability ?(no pics of this one)


Picked up a minty 99 f take down in 252xxx range 300 flavor ,,,,,Thanks

Have prices gone down on the 99"s Seems the 303's online arent going real high What say you guys ?

1)"C" style brl. are the least common of the three rifle brls.

2) All "T's" are good. The .300 is the most common.

3) .303 has been the least favored for a long time. For collectors it is the most common chambering and for shooters, there was a shortage of ammo for several years.

4) A lot of the 99's I see on line have problems.

This subforum persuaded me of the 99's virtues and I now own two.

Other than members of this subforum are there many out there who want a 99?
