I have what i believe is a 1899 c in 303 serial 12.6xx....straight stock cresent buttplate ,,,,Are 1895 1899 99 levers all the same (straight ones) Does anyone have a spare parts gun they would part with thanks Kevin

That's an early rifle, serial numbers started at 10.000 for 1899's. An 1899C would have a 26" half-round/half-octagon barrel.
No spare lever, I don't believe..

The really early levers were straight even on the rifles with pistol grips. Savage started putting slightly curved levers on the PG rifles around 1903-1904 I think. The rifle on the cover of my book on the left is a 1901 vintage 1899B with a pistol grip and straight lever. See the photo below. David
