Dates?

I've always wanted to attend.

Might need to see if I can get the time scheduled off of work.

Dan, could you PM me the details?

I've never attended the Hog Hunt gatherings.

Looking for location, cost's, accommodations etc.

Thank you,

Jeff

I'll plan on it, but will have to play by ear. being self employed i have no idea what work i will have going on this far out, plus i might be spending sometime up north with Leighton doing some commercial fishing.

Dan:

Count me in.

Dan, I was thinking you might consider creating a 2017 24 Hour Campfire Hog Hunt listing to track responses etc. separate from the one for 2016.

Aw, jeez - if Ready's "in", I suppose I am, too... unless I can talk him into a semi-DIY elk hunt next Fall, instead... wink

I'll do some arm twisting on him when I head over there in a few weeks.

You can put anything in Carl's hands and he can shoot it better than well....

Funny you mention that, Poobs.

Last weekend, I was teaching a class, and trying to make a point that a good shooter will shoot well with whatever firearm you hand him.

All the while I was trying to illustrate the point, I had the mental image of my friend Ready shooting everything under the sun and shooting it very well, and all I could muster for words was:

"The magic is in the Magician, it ain't in the wand."

Modesty, my friends, forbids me to not set the record straight.

Being handed bespoke guns, like Pats AR, Ingwes McFlame or the Tides HK 45, a gun I might add, you can send out on patrol by itself and it will have the beat straighted out by sunup, helps a lot.

But, Docs double 9,3x74R and Tracy's AR 15, guns that have straightend out buffalo in Docs hands and Tracy would control any third world airfield with his, I made a solid fool out of myself with. Had a great time though. :-)

Thanks for your kind words - this pupil is a learner, still.

Modesty is a virtue.

But you've got too much of it...

However, I'm absolutely positive thats the only time the McFlame will be referred to as a 'bespoke' gun.... laugh

Ditto, the AR-10...unless you count the parts I chose & bolted onto it, as "bespoking it" grin

I'll be there, if'n the creeks don't rise.

Ingwe needs somebody around more elderly than he so he doesn't have to act all dignified and such.
