Have any of you guys ever sent a rifle to h.c.r. for their bedding job and recrowning? My old 700 remington needs a bedding job and I was wondering if it's worth the asking price from h.c.r.

I have had a 700 rem done by them and it was top notch work. They actually shot mine until it was just perfect, and I mean under .5" MAO. Turnaround was not bad.
Brown precision is also specialists at this work. Their workload may be full, but I would call just to check. They also have a guy who KNOWS triggers.

They worked on a Dakota 76 338 for me and the results were excellent. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I have one custom gun from them on a 700 action, and have had two others worked on, including bedding. Their bedding has been some of the best I've seen! All three rifles, (270,338.375) shoot under .75 MOA when scoped. HCR is my first choice for work.

They've done a ton of work for me and it's all been good. The accuracy package is great way to turn an okay gun into a great one.
Matt Bettersworth usually answers the phone and deals with the customers. Dave Fuqua is the owner.

HCR even got talked into some AR15s for a Marine Reserve shooter buddy of mine. Shot extremely well.
Still wondering how bedding is adjustable though.....
And how one can mess up a bedding job. I'm not the neatest when bedding but all that I've done shoot much better after bedding too. Just in getting good pillars in and then not stressing the action while bedded.
