Curious to see how open carry works at the Republican National Convention when the KKK and the Black Lives Matter (or black panthers) are both there packing assault rifles. Proverbial goat rodeo potentially.

yeah. the law & order folks ought to have allowed legal guns inside the conference, but oh no.

now, open carry is an issue outside the convention. the philadelphia lawyers will sort it all out.

the police apparently hate to see anyone with a gun except themselves.

Kasich just said his hands were tied, and could not suspend open carry for the convention.

Where are the BLM and Panthers going to be? Surly they won't be inside the private event.

There will be no weapons, open or otherwise, at the convention. Anyone who thinks there will knows nothing about events controlled by the USSS

Not inside for sure. Outside in the public areas where the protestors will congregate is the issue.

If there was ever a place ripe for an incident, this is it.

They want headlines.

If something happens it will be the start of Zero's race war.

One of the unforeseen consequences of open carry. Would a person displaying a firearm at a public event in todays' terror sensitive environment be probable cause to require ID sufficient to establish legal right to own a firearm?

I would wager that rifle toting Black Panthers would be hoping for a confrontation w/ the cops in view of the world media.

The feds established a "1st Amendment" Zone at the Bundy fiasco in Nevada. Would that a be good precedent for a "2nd Ammendment" zone in Cleveland?

The leadership in Ohio is getting a pretty good opportunity to display how the law should be enforced. Will they show balls or their ass?

I'd sure like to see the river on fire again. That would make it the best RNC EVER.

Special effects make the scene special. I am going to the mountains for the next 3 days and have promised myself not to think about the crap in the world for this time. I will be sleeping w/ my AR in the tent.

I damn sure would not want to be in charge, or involved in any way with the outside security. Talk about a thankless opportunity to be the goat.

Maybe the crazy from Kansas (Westboro Baptist Church) will burn a Quran or an effigy of Muhammad to real spice things up.

should the convention turn into a blood bath it would be a perfect excuse for zero to suspend the constitution and take control the way he wants control. he would turn BLM into the brown shirts and we would be in total shambles.
i am using could and would because it scares me to use can and will.
this country is on the edge of a knife with very little holding it together. i was there in the 60's and this current climate scares me more than then.
right now i can only think of the movies of the planet of the apes series. the apes are trying to conquer this country and the results will be devastating.
this country ruled by the street thugs would be like the Congo,Uganda,Cambodia etc. wholesale slaughter of any and all but their clan.
i am dying anyway but i have many i love that will be around and i pray that this can be contained. i doubt it

I see the Police Union requested a ban for Open carry and Kasich has denied it !!

seems Kasich is keen for [bleep] to hit the fan whilst Donald is in Town, friendly fire casualty maybe ....

If anybody takes a shot at Trump or anybody else, it will be at the behest of the US government.
