That was hilarious, especially when it came back to get even.

Raccoons can be vindictive little bassturds, meaner than hell when cornered.

I would hate to have to depend on that guy in a bear attack.

The guy definitely brought a broom to a gun fight.

Around here Rabies is running rampant, the following is from an Erie county website...

" No one can know if an animal has rabies just by its appearance. Rabid animals’ behavior can range from normal to lethargic, aggressive, or overly friendly. Already in 2016 we have investigated 1,185 incidents for possible rabies exposure. From those encounters, 116 people are now undergoing rabies PEP."

I live in Wyoming county which is way more fields, and woods that Erie County, which is only about 2 miles from my house..
Anyone around here doesn't put up with "Daytime" raccoon visits...
I got attacked by a rabid skunk right across the road from my house when deer hunting. Not a fun thing I can tell you.

The roads around WNY are literally littered with dead coons.......traveled a fair amount of Orleans and Niagara Counties yesterday and probably saw a pile of them pancaked.

Saw one last week stumbling around a yard in East Amherst last week....rabies I'd wager.

Caught one in a have-a-hart trap, trying to catch a skunk in a factory. I took him out in a field to turn him loose and he was downright unfriendly smirk

Yeah I had a real hard time with a coon the other night. The thing had knocked over the galvanized trash can we keep the cat's food in and was chowing down. I went out there and didn't have a clear shot due to the a/c unit in back. The coon moved a few steps and turned and looked right into my flashlight. I popped it with the 10-22. Game over.

Need to let Boggy Creek Ranger know ASAP that the Great Coon Wars are back on! grin

I've seen more 'Coon sign around the ponds the last coupe of weeks, so I guess it's time to break out the traps again.
